Among the shorts featured are: Luther M. Mace’s story of two African-american high school boys in “On the Low,” Rehana Mirza’s twist on Indian arranged marriages in “Modern Day Arranged Marriage,” Diego Torres’ documentary on Bolivian trangenders in “Transvestite Life”, Desireena Almoradie’s lesbia obsession in “Green Stalk,” and Garth Bardsley’s comic take on teenage desire in “Latch Key.” [More Information]
The performances will feature the work of the multitalented, Bronx native, Caridad De La Luz aka La Bruja, who will open the event with a selection of her “Brujalicious” work followed by the impersonation of Colombian drag diva Pamela LeeSperm in collaboration with music producer Lester Green, the readings of the young poet Keith Mitchell, the music of Ecuadorian born Miles Beltran, the spoken word interpretations, and the show extravaganza of Bronx talents, Roberto Esteban Vassilarakis aka Simply Rob, and Chanel International respectively. The showcase will close with the multimedia performance of one time Bronx resident, Saul Reyes aka Q’Doll, La Muñeca. [More Information]
