La Bruja
Writer, Poet, Hip Hop/Reggaeton Artist, Activist

Whether singing on Telemundo, performing on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, or appearing in History Channel docudramas, modern day renaissance woman, and Bronx native, Caridad De La Luz aka La Bruja refuses to be put in a box. Her unique creativity and charisma has taken her from appearances in a Spike Lee film to running writing workshops for inner-city youth and even modeling.

 
 

Keith Mitchell

Twenty one year old, Bronx native, has been writing since the age of 8.  Since coming out at 13, Keith has been performing with the support of family and friends. His work has been presented in the New York Rican Poets Café, the Gay Parade and in talent shows among other places.  He dreams to have his work published soon.

Colombian sensation and actress debutante has been impersonating since she was a “little girl.”  Her shows are constructed around themes that are common in Latin  American pop culture using theatrical arrangements and the collaboration of dancers, musicians, and stage groups.

Lester Green
Music producer

Born in Germany and growing up in many cities in the USA, Lester Green graduated from Queens College with a degree in English and Journalism.  His passion for music has led him to create his own tracks and lyrics producing CD that he distributes in the streets. His electronic mixes are a combination of pop-and traditional rithyms and colorful sounds.  
 
 

Miles Beltran
Singer/Musician

An independent singer, songwriter and producer born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His music has been produced by Edwin Ramos known for his work with Mary J. Blige, Jelly Bean Benitez, Chico De Barge, Angie Stone and more. His work has been distributed in Japan, US and Australia. Currently, Miles is planning a new album and working on several music videos. His new song, cowritten by World known DJ, JR Vasquez, is soon to be released.

Performer

Born and raised in Spanish Harlem, Chanel moved to live in the Bronx where she started to cross dress and work. She has been on the stage performing for diverse audiences, and has joined 3 diva searches. Chanel works for Bronx Community Pride Center, is an HIV advocate, and is the recipient of 2 awards “ The Miss Tranz Empowerment Award” and “The Beyond the Street Award.”

 
 
Simply Rob
Spoken Word Poet

Born and raised in NY of Salvadorian and Greek descent, Roberto Esteban Vassilarakis a.k.a. Simply Rob is known as a spoken word artist, actor and photographer. He has been writing and performing his poetry since 2003 and has appeared at an array of different venues. He is the founding member of El Grito De Poetas, a collective group of diverse Latino and Latina poets. For 15 years he’s worked with "at risk" and LGBT inner city youth in The Bronx and Manhattan.

Saul Reyes, aka Q’Doll or La Muñeca, is a writer, poet and dancer whose multimedia performances have been presented at the Pyramid Club, Queens Cultural Festival, The Queens Museum, and in bars and clubs in NYC.  He has often collaborated with DJ’s and for the past few years with New Media maker, Hector Canonge, for the production of multimedia projects.

- D or B to the 167 St./Grand Concourse station. Exit at rear of station, walk south along Grand Concourse two blocks.
- #4 to the 161 Street/Yankee Stadium station. Walk east three blocks to the Grand Concourse, then, walk north four blocks along Grand Concourse to 165th St.

Please Note: D Train stops all times except rush hours peak direction (6:15 am - 9 am to Manhattan, 4 pm - 6:45 pm from Manhattan). Take B Train at 145 St. to 167th St. / Grand Concourse.
